About Wodbottom
I grew up in a home where domestic violence was commonplace. I learned about my self-worth from watching an incredibly toxic and destructive relationship play out in front of me. I learned about my self-worth by being told that I had none. Like so many people in America, I let those experiences define me for too long.
I believed the lies I learned in my early years. My childhood experiences impacted my relationships and self-esteem throughout my adult life. I gravitated towards destructive relationships and struggled to recognize my own strength and self-worth.
Thankfully, I grew from those experiences. I rejected the lies I learned as a child and learned to embrace my own power. I found mentors and friends who spoke truth into my life, and who helped me find my confidence and purpose.
When I started WodBottom, I knew I wanted this company to have a deeper purpose. Deciding how to give back to the community was easy. I wanted to partner with an organization that supports and empowers domestic abuse survivors. I wanted to play a small part in helping other women find their voices and their confidence. And so, we partnered with the incredible Wisconsin-based Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS).
